Moderation Management™ runs on volunteers – powered by caffeine, compassion, and the occasional dad joke. Without our crew of caring, whip-smart, and wildly resourceful humans, we simply wouldn’t exist.
“It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”
— Ralph Waldo EmersonTranslation: Helping others helps you. And yes, Emerson said it better.
When you volunteer with Moderation Management, you’re not just giving back, you’re plugging into a community that’s helping thousands of people create a healthier, more balanced relationship with alcohol. Plus, research (and our own experience) says that volunteering boosts your own moderation goals, adds a layer of accountability, and might even give you that elusive “sense of purpose” everyone keeps talking about.
Here are some of the roles we’re currently looking to fill. Don’t see your dream gig? Fill out the form anyway. We’re flexible, and there’s always something that needs doing.
Donor Engagement Specialist
This role is all about appreciation and connection. You’ll help us engage our donor community through thoughtful touches like thank-you cards, donor emails, and light stewardship initiatives. Perfect for someone who loves details, gratitude, and making people feel genuinely seen. This role directly supports sustainability, without heavy fundraising.
Podcast Outreach Lead
This role helps put Moderation Management in more ears. You’ll research podcasts aligned with our marketing calendar (wellness, moderation, mental health, behavior change), build a simple outreach list, and support pitch and follow-up efforts. Perfect for someone organized, curious, and comfortable with light outreach.
In-Kind Partnerships Coordinator
This role supports outreach and coordination for in-kind donations, including prizes, appreciation items, and auction contributions. The volunteer will help identify and contact potential partners, align on approved talking points, track commitments, and ensure items are received and followed up on properly. Ideal for someone organized, professional, and comfortable with light external communication who enjoys making collaborations run smoothly from first email to final thank-you.
Please fill out the form below to become an MM volunteer! Because we are run by volunteers, it may take some time for us to get back to you. But we promise we will, and we will do our best to find the right fit for you to help create more awareness about MM and the amazing work we do here.
If you’re short on time but still want to get involved, donations are always welcome.
